After coughing his lungs out for quite a while, a friend recently passed away from a respiratory illness in bkk. I take antihistamines before working out at the gym to control post-nasal drip aggravated by automobile pollution. I have 2 air purifiers running whenever I'm home. Cocktail hour on the balcony is limited to a once-a-week maybe. Such is my life in the only location in this tropical paradise that I would choose to live in. I understand the air in Nakhon Nowhere is cleaner, but the bugs, the snakes, the lack of services, and...the neighbors make such a move unlikely. *cough*...still, there are worse places to die.Majestically enthroned amid the vulgar herd

Most 'bugs' don't do anything to you - two weeks ago was the first time I was stung by a dten, didn't see it. Rarely come across snakes.
Neighbours - some are friendly, some ok, some idiots and unpleasant folks around. None speak English.Originally posted by Ergenburgensmurgen;n186588
