Why not start your own forum and set up the way you want it, you monkey!

Or you could take 30 minutes, install the mod that does what Willy and presumably others would like, thus adding a "feature" to the forum, or do a bit of programming on the getdaily/getnew queries to exclude the news forum for everyone, which again, would take about 30 minutes. It ain't that hard, I promise.
