      Adultery

By temperament, which is the real law of God, many men are goats and can't help committing adultery when they get a chance; whereas there are numbers of men who, by temperament, can keep their purity and let an opportunity go by if the woman lacks in attractiveness.

The fact that an opinion has been widely held is no evidence that it is not utterly absurd; indeed, in view of the silliness of the majority of mankind, a widespread belief is more likely to be foolish than sensible.

The Iranian comedian describes himself as "the Les Dennis of the Middle East" and "the man who puts the fat into fatwa, the fun into fundamentalism and the ham into Hamas".

For you, an Englishman, an Irishman and a Scotsman is a joke "For us, it's a hostage situation. Two blokes walk into a bar - not in Iran! Normally, Iranians don't go out - they're too busy staying at home and enriching Uranium 235. Iran's only exports are pistachio nuts and massive international ill feeling."

Why do you find it necessary to address another poster? The quote stands on its own. Much as this one from Enoch Powell in 1968:

"It is like watching a nation busily engaged in heaping up its own funeral pyre." Wasn't quite wrong, wuz'e?

Yep, why would anyone address another poster on a forum?

                          Utterly weird behaviour.

It may have been a light hearted response to your post on the Occuption Thread. "I serve as a leveler to the Brittle scumbags who think their contribution to this shithole is anything more more than a self-serving, idiotic temporary stop in their inexorable march to a jail somewhere. You Brittle imbeciles would do well to take my advice."

As to Enoch I always thought he was talking about the Scots and the irish. Now the Inglish have just sold the farm begging the Scots to stay in a big happy family. Irish took their bat and ball home with them. Anyway nothing to do with Quotes.

This is one I have always liked.
                              From Spike Milligan
Money can't buy you happiness but it does bring you a more pleasant form of misery.
