the great summer we had has gone, the leaves are just starting to change colour and sunset is around 7.30pm, a couple of months ago it was 2 hours later.

You're right smack dab in the heart of the 'grooming' controversy and the cops who turn a blind eye?God, the panic within the Dems, MSM, and left must be horrifying...realizing that Joe is really the best they've got.

We're currently enjoying the warm subtropical breezes of ex-hurricane Helene. Hasn't rained, and surprisingly there been more sun than cloud today.
A lot of grassland is still scorched and hasn't recovered from the record-breaking summer, which was too hot for my liking. Week after week of sun from 5am to 9pm gets boring for those who don't endure the opposite during the winter months.

Cleanup continues here, a few minor land slides up around my place, trees fallen down, all sorts of rubbish washed up on the beach when we took the mutt for a walk last night. Back to 32C and it's still early in the day, dreary they describe this sky maybe rain later, off to work after a swim.

Gotta feel sorry for anyone who lives in NI or Scotland. It seems to piss down in both several times per week, every week. It's rained precisely four times in daylight hours in the past three months in my little corner of England.
Yep, a month from now the climate here becomes less favourable than that to the east (and south of course - the Mediterranean is fabulous late Oct to late Nov), and the real killer is the clocks changing on the final Sunday of October.
