^ Not so sure about munching on that toad. It has poisonous glands and when consumed you may feel sick for a while. Watch dogs, the first time they encounter one, they chase it, play with it and lick or bite it, then never again...
I think the ones you you find at the local wet markets and taste good are called Hoplobatrachus rugulosus (Chinese edible frog) and almost as ugly and big as the toad. Pixx here.
A couple here are dangerous with toxins....
Most seasonal toads are quite eatable and if done right are quite nice.
Yes it's that time of year when all the creepy crawley b'stards start finding their way into the house. The centipedes bug me, not so much the little thin ones but the big fat buggers with long legs and pincers.
We often get the black scorpions on the verandah. GF attacks them with a machette.
Loads of frogs and toads. Mini frogs seem to like the kitchen for some reason. Maybe the klong at the bottom of the garden?
Can't understand the thais kipping on the floor when there is so much nightlife waiting to crawl into your mouth.
