  • A few pics from China - Beijing

I've been in China a few months now.. slowly getting to taking some photos. I plan on getting to more historical sites in the next month or so. I'll add on as time goes on. Beijing really is a mix of modern and ancient.
A few from the park during sunset. They had some Olympic sports here in 2008 including beach volleyball.

Girls - not really wanted by society because of the one child policy. The Chinese would rather a boy.

    What a beauty!

Went to the Ming Tombs on the way back from the Wall. You walk very far underground, but don't see too much except some red cases that hold remains. You couldn't take pics down there, but I got some of the grounds.

Thanks, I have quite a few more of that sunset. It was just too perfect of a moment to let it pass.
The girl has her hair cut like a boy that is why. Her shirt is like a boy, but the pink jacket is precious.

Finally made it to Tiananmen square and faced Mao head on.

Those pictures of the wall look like a nightmare, glad I did not visit that touristy section.

Nice pictures of the scorpions and starfish.

Incredible looking spot. But Like KW I could not handle the crowds. Smog makes for neat sunsets. Got offered a nice job in one of he big cities in China. Mrs shocked it up and say it was the most polluted city in China. End of that idea

Yep. But with a bit of time ans effort you can find quiet sections of the wall. (Several thousand miles long, I believe). I did a 6 hour walk along the top of the wall and only saw 3 other people the entire time.
