  • Hi to all

    Hello to all.

I have been away from Thailand for the last year, rebuilding life, time to go back, enjoy society without a zillion rules..

    Compared to Aussie that is..

    Good forum, thanks.

    Have a great day..........

Welcome, claimant . . . but don't believe for one minute that there are no rules in the inadequately named Land of Smiles.

      Thanks Panama Hat,

Rules are everywhere, to me, they don't seem so obvious, in the land of smiles...........

Firstly let me bid you welcome to the 'Thailand chatter forum' clamont.
If you are seeking advice about visiting or residing in Thailand, then I suggest that it would be prudent of you and more beneficial to you, to take it from those who actually live here.
          Merely a suggestion you understand.

Exactly. I realized that in the first 5 minutes when the motor bike taxi spent more time on the sidewalk then on the road

it amuses me Socal. you keep twatting on about the nanny state, but you actually live on one, as did, but the difference is I left my nanny state and live in the free for all no rules Thailand. Why don't you do the same instead of just whining on about it, or are you a Smeg. A malcontent whiner and moaning Brit.

Can't get over how the kid from the Oil Patch, who only reluctantly and very a rely ventures forth from under Canada's wet nurse culture, rants on in his usual trolling diatribe about the Nanny State he clings to for dear life

Thanks to the nannystate taxes, I cant save enough money to have the assets to make such a move. I am 30.

I pay more in taxes then a lot of expats live off of in Thailand. The nanny police state has me trapped.

That just means you're a leech on society - taking more than you give.

Save up instead of buying yellow plastic cars to impress the ladyboys with

You don't know that . . . and using an excuse to not move from the teat of your nanny state.

As far as rules for Thailand go - I really couldn't care less . . . let them drown in their mire of mismanagement and corruption.
