  • I may go Insane

Well-its been some considerable time since I was last here due to an out of the blue job offer from an old friend , who I had worked with many years ago , at my age any opportunity to add a few more bob to the kitty was an unexpected event. My friend lives in Spain and had started a new business venture in the selling property market , long story short , I went to Spain , and the job turned out to be a disaster , I came back home to Thailand , minus one old friend.

Then my wife informs me that she has had enough of Pattaya and wants to move nearer her family , so I put my foot down and say , ok .

So now we are living in a rented house not far from ChokChai. ( Korat ) , and I'm having to adjust to life out in the sticks. The rented house has no telephone land line , so I'm having to connect to the internet by using my mobile phones hot spot option ,one of the wife's relatives works for CAT in Korat and set me up with a SIM card package . Will I be driven wildly insane living away from the bright lights of Pattaya, only time will tell .
ↂ if there was a clock in my under pants, it would be at high noon ↂ

Chokchai used to have a very good Steak House.

This progression from Pattaya to Isaan seems to be a natural part of the life cycle. Get a motor bike or do some gardening.
I visited TC a few times as a guest but had to stop. It is a sickening place. - Aging One

The steakhouse is still there and sell great beef. On the way back to Bangkok or environs, it's an easy stop off the freeway on the left just passed the big Buddha.

Not many people have land line phones these days preferring to go with AIS or Dtac. TOT is good for internet via satellite dish and even some locations have fiber.

The Choockchai Farm there near Korat beats the shit out of 'gay lights of Pattaya'!
        Go camping!
God, the panic within the Dems, MSM, and left must be horrifying...realizing that Joe is really the best they've got.

Yes fibre is the dogs's bollocks. I pity those on mobile internet sim cards.

Don't have it yet here in my location but can't complain with the speed via the little receiver on my roof. Generally close to 10mps down most days which is OK

Worked out of Las Palmas back in the day. Great climate and good golf down south at Maspalomas.

The climate was just near perfect , while there I visited the Island of island of La Gomera , which was like going back in time .

The sales office was situated on Tenerife , a very rocky and in parts barren island , but really I enjoyed my stay there . Never got to Las Palmas .

Just gonna have to spend the coin and look around for a place in a better location. Go to all the internet shops, True, 3bb, etc and see what's on offer.

Isaan is shit boring without some of the creature comforts.

Should've stuck to 1 of the golden rules - Live close enough to her family that you can visit them should you so wish but far enough away that they must make a real effort to visit you

                          This so much.

Made this mistake before. I always had my privacy at home, but dang they always have twisted ideas of what they consider 'fun'

The house we rent is about 1/2 an hour away from the closest relative , so far Ive not come back to the house only to find my can's of cold Chang missing , from the fridge , although Ive started to notice what look like home made Voodoo dolls , that seem to strangely resemble , yours truly , placed on the spirit house .

                            Should I be concerned
