        How long until dashcams aren't in the car, but are little drones flying a meter above the roof of the car.


        That would be really cool. With a screen on the dash and little remote control for seeing round corners etc.

          It isn't that hard to implement a dash cam as standard these days. Multiple ones for that matter. The short-term novelty would come at a premium of course.

          The cool factor is also dangerous in my opinion as one tends to overlook privacy infringements. Google glasses are cool, then it's implants!

            I don't know about that, but in my opinion it will only be a short while before dash cams are standard in most new vehicles.
