  • Kanchanaburi Motorbike Ride from Bangkok.

Being based in Bkk, I do love to jump on the bike and head up around Kanchanaburi, either as a motorbike day ride, or weekend.

Nice route for a 2 day spin.

The Si Sawat Loop is fantastic and takes in Erawan National Park. Fantastic riding.

Big blue skies and clean air.

    Different from Bkk.

Not long before you're carving through the mountains.

Those rides look great - brings back memories of many bike rides in Oz.

Done it a few times. If you drive past the Erawan entrance (another national park that the name slips my mind) as you cross the river and start to climb the hill. There is a route of twisties, dips and climbs with fantastic views of the reservoir. Take a 20 min ferry ride and loop back via Srinakarin etc.

Is that road the one that constantly snakes left and right for about 25 kilometres and ends up at a ferry? Loved it if that's the one I'm thinking of.

                      Yes.

When you arrive at the National Park pay booth you have the option of paying for the park and going left, or going ahead free, to ferry.

They have just started to tarmac some of the of the road to the ferry. Shame, I liked that little off road bit.

                          It is.

But around Chiang Mai is better.
