    Where is the.........?

Today, I would like to talk about the Question word- where = te năi and share some examples of questions that are often asked.
    1. Where is the restroom?
    hng-nam yo te-năi k/krp
    hng-nam = restroom
yo = to be at (an auxiliary used to put the verb in the present continuous tense, that shows the action of the verb is currently taking place)
    te năi = where

Most Thais are too lazy to bother with the ' tee ' bit.

You are more likely to hear " Hong nam yoo nai krap ? "

Similarly , rather than use the correct , but for a Thai long winded :

" kun gamlang py nai yoo ? " ( the Thai construction of the present continuous tense )

    You will frequently hear :

    " Py nai " literally " where go ? "

or in my particular case " py nai looblor ? "
