Prayuth orders opinion survey on political amnesty
    August 17, 2014

Junta chief Gen Prayuth Chan-ocha has instructed Assistant Army Commander-in-Chief Gen Paibul Khumchaya to consider holding an opinion survey on a blanket amnesty for political cases, Thairath Online reported Sunday.

Paibul said Prayuth told the legal division of the National Council for Peace and Order to compile a list of political cases, that are not related to criminal or serious crimes, and hold a survey to find out whether the public would accept blanket amnesty for the cases. Paibul is the chief of legal division of the junta.

Meanwhile, in utterly unrelated but breaking news, Mr Thaksin has implored Red shirts and pro-democracy activists to forgive and forget, and give the military Junta a fair chance to 'do it's job', and HRH the Crown Prince opened the first session of the National Legislative Assembly. In as yet unconfirmed breaking news, Thaksins delightful new grandchildren are to be called 'Done' and 'Deal'.

In utterly unrelated music media, a new band called the Canaries is teaming up with the Red Roosters to rerelease their chart topping single "We've been Had".
