Prayuth orders opinion survey on political amnesty

Junta chief Gen Prayuth Chan-ocha has instructed Assistant Army Commander-in-Chief Gen Paibul Khumchaya to consider holding an opinion survey on a blanket amnesty for political cases, Thairath Online reported Sunday.
Paibul said Prayuth told the legal division of the National Council for Peace and Order to compile a list of political cases, that are not related to criminal or serious crimes, and hold a survey to find out whether the public would accept blanket amnesty for the cases. Paibul is the chief of legal division of the junta.
