Mostly agree. My criticism is just that. They are pedantic and obvious in their build up. Alli is supossed to be a play maker but he is absent in that area. The passing seemes aimed at not risking loosing possion rather than trying to get behind defenders.

Sterling had a chance in the early part of the first half, then the defender came and blocked his shot. Would a Sala or Messi have chipped or lifted the shot rather than blast into the defender? Alot is being hyped that they are young and eager. Just wish they would be allowed to play that way. May loose but the other side of the draw are very strong.

Stayed up to watch the England game last night. It was like watching paint dry! I am glad they won but they were as useful as a chocolate fireguard upfront. First 35 mins they looked ok. Passed it well but looked as though they didn't know what to do with it when near the area.

So what ENglish team can deal with the teams on the other side of the draw? You never know but realisticly they will have to improve incredably over yestardays performance to beat any of the teams on the other side of the draw. On their sie they could continue or one of the other teams could pull an Iceland.

So wish my ex country of residence luck, but will not be upset when reality returns to the actuality level of the few English men who play in the EPL.

But they're 2 games away from a final, against opposition that hasn't been to a final in living memory. That's a chance.


Though that chance shrinks somewhat if they make the final and then come up against Brazil, Belgium or France.

Tomorrow could be the best game of the tournament. Belguim v Brazil. England could very well make it into the Semi finals and hopefuly come up against croatia. I would hate to play the home team in the semi finals.
