We chose not to waste our time and money on the womens final, I can't see how anybody can take womens tennis seriously

If you read my post I said I jetted into Australia, I didn't say Melbourne. My itinerary went something like this...

Rotorua -> Auckland
Auckland -> Sydney
Sydney -> Melbourne

Just spending a few days in Rotorua so I left from there. It's rather nice this time of year, a shame they won't let you into the country. I think you would like it

Wow! This beach is usually packed to the gills with Euro trash wearing no bikinis tops.

I should show you Patong beach... Thailand must be dying from lack of tourism dollars.

No, I think they look amazing, but Phuket lives and probably thrives on tourist dollars, so they must be in dire straits.

I was in Patong 2018 for New Year's! The place was a zoo. I also spent half my time on Kata. These pics look like total different places than back then.

No it doesn't. It was fine before mass tourism arrived. The hundreds of thousands of Thais from other parts of Thailand that have migrated there over the past 30 years thrive on tourist dollars.

Now that many of those have left, and the roads aren't chokablok their pickup trucks and mafia tuktuks, and with tourist buses and motorbikes, the Phuket locals that have been there for generations are probably enjoying having their island returning to the way it used to be.
