I had full BUPA international when I worked there and wouldn't want less. These days it's covered on travel insurance as I spend six month of each year in the UK hence I'm no expat.

I was with Global Expatriate Healthcare for years until they raised the co-pay beyond what me & the missus were willing to spend. And that was with both of us with no prior existing health issues. Once you are on the wrong side of 60, health insurance anywhere is prohibitively expensive. Let's not even talk about Dental!

Now, we self-fund our medical expenses.

As with anything else, you get what you pay for and it's my opinion that the doctors at Bumrungrad (Dentists too) are some of the best around.

Good luck with the knee JJ. My missus has bad knees and that's the major reason we built a single-story home. Knees get worse over time.

^ That's true. 10 years ago I used to be a competitive squash player however towards the end it started giving me sore knees from all the twisting and turning on court. I thought I don't want to be a cripple by the time I'm 60 so I gave it away. Haven't really missed it to be honest & the knees have improved

Same issue for me. I also played tennis competitively form a young age. After rotor cuff syndrome in my shoulder, in my 20s I stopped. However, having recently got back into fitness regularly since Jan, I started playing again and adding it to my jogging and cross training. Oddly, it tends to be very painful only when walking upstairs. While I do get it from time to time when playing tennis or jogging, it seems to wear off. Standing on the pegs while off road riding is another activity which puts a strain on the knee. Nothing like going upstairs though.

Bullshit. Sex with an attractive woman is great no matter if it is "free" or paid for, but who would pay for a "skanky" girl when there are so many beautiful ones for pretty much the same price? Thank heavens those puritanical Christian values do not seem to have infected some of us.
