    I lost the weight, I was aiming for more but the missus freaked out I was too thin and people were asking if I was sick so I started at the gym to bulk up a bit, not to lose weight. To lose weight the key is cardiovascular. Running and cycling in my case.
    The last six months have been a balancing act. I've actually put on a kilo but haven't lost a notch on the belt and my arms and chest are much thicker and stronger.
    It's nice being like this.
    And people notice.
    So no Plies, you sanctimonious twat, it's not "trying to lose weight nothing more nothing less".
    Unless you're on the treadmill or stationary cycle the gym is not for losing weight. It's for gaining weight or strength.

        Why do you care? Staving off that heart attack should be what you care about.
        1 Actually that is the key to not getting fat in the first case. (Not to mention vast quantities of the amber fluid)

        3 the one doesn't preclude the other. It IS nice when people you know notice. Then there's the other thing where people on the street 'notice/acknowledge' you. Then you realise fat ****s are pretty much invisible.
        Whereas ripped kunts like Ant get noticed.

Cardio isn't necessary, but for me it's the far preferred way as I do loads of sports every week and it's no chore to burn several thousand calories per week (something impossible to do lifting heavy weights) whereas counting out peas and weighing everything would be a tedious existence only someone with OCD would choose.

              You seem to be locked into the mindset that one must be fat or ripped. Eat healthily, keep active, do some medium weights to maintain strength, and bob's your uncle. This is the guy I've based my efforts on for the past five years. Same height and weight and he doesn't want or need an 8 pack or oversized slabs of protein.
