  • Noisy neighbors - should I move out of Bangkok?

I enjoy the vibrant mix of culture, delicious food, and beautiful Thai women in Bangkok, but my experience is being overshadowed by the cacophony of noisy neighbors.I work remotely and keep odd hours. Mostly up all night. I am plagued by early morning karaoke brooms scraping on the pavement, moto-sais zipping by and loud conversations. Bangkok has tuned my peaceful life into a constant headache. I have tried earplugs, noise-canceling headphones, and even politely asking my neighbors to keep it down. It did not help much and I have realized part of the issue was cultural —Thailand’s lively community often translated into noise. Should I just embrace the chaos of Bangkok or move to a quieter part of Thailand. Is Isaan quieter? I have visited a few times, but mostly stayed in the city limits of Surin, Siisaket and Buriram. Any Isaan cities you guys might recommend? Is it too rural? Still noisy? Is the internet in Northeast Thailand available in the villages and fast enough to work from home?
