In case I hadn't made myself perfectly clear already. My advice to any forum that wants to be taken remotely seriously by normal, intelligent folk, the kind of people who are likely to put time and effort in to making the forum interesting, informative and an enjoyable corner of cyberspace to hang out in, is to immediately ban any member who refuses to behave in what would be deemed a socially acceptable manner in the real world.

Measures then need to be put in place to stop them returning to the forum with a different user name. A check on all IP's and a ban on the use of vpn's which are easily detectable would do the trick.

Any forum not taking those simple measures can't truly be taken seriously when it claims to want their forum to be successful.

Is that just ignored? Is it controlled in any way at all? Or does that come under "freedom of speech"?
