  • So whats your current mobile phone

Ive recently jumped ship from an Android mobile phone ( iMobile ) to a Windows mobile phone ( Nokia Lumia 925 @ 10,000 Baht ) so far over all very impressed , the build quality feels premium and sleek design , the OS runs very smoothly , no lag , a great rear 8.7 mega pixel 6 element lens camera and flash ,the downside may be app store . Being an Apple Fan Boy  , I did think of buying a new iphone 6 , but finally decided to give the Lumia a try and have not been disappointed .

    Nokia Lumia 925

So whats your current mobile phone , are you happy with it , or going to change .

I'm a Samsung man, currently half way through a two year contract with the Galaxy S5.

Misses just got the S6 Edge and it's a beauty.

A few weeks ago I had a play in a Samsung shop , with the S6 Edge , and totally agree , the screen and the way it seems to wrap around the phones edge , is just fantastic .

^ Did you think it was difficult to hold? Because of the sloped edges I found it quite awkward to grip. It felt like it was going to slip out my hand all the time.

I'm sure you'd get used to it quick enough mind.

My Nokia is older than that but still I can make calls and receive calls , send and receive text messages , anything else I need to do I either use my camera or laptop.

Ive come to the conclusion that the perfect screen size for a mobile phone is between 4.5 - 5.00 ''

This is my guilty secret, well no longer, I have an $11 3G cell phone with no data ability. It's just like the old Nokia phones of yesteryear. It cost me $2 to have it unlocked

However I will buy a smart phone in 2018 (welcome to the 2010's ) and I will opt for a mid-range Android phone like a Samsung Galaxy J5 or a Motorola Moto G5 Plus. I don't have a requirement for a top of the line phone

I went wild a couple of months ago, dusted off my wallet and bought a Samsung C9 pro.
I'm very pleased with it and the 6gb of RAM means it's pretty fast.
I've played a little so I can use a bluetooth microphone when recording video, that meaning I can do video interviews with nice audio.

I too had a Lumia Smartphone in 2015 which was good, but after battery problems and MSoft withdrawing support (and bugger all Apps), I switched to a cheap Chinese Smartphone running Android 6 quad-core CPU with 1GB RAM and 4GB ROM and a 4" high def screen and a 5MPixel camera and 4G capability plus Micro SIM card (up to 32GB) and Bluetooth 4 and 802.11 b/g/n. Two years ago such a smartphone would have cost heaps, and an Android phone wouldnt auto-sync with Microsoft applications and programs (outlook.com), but now they do. Prices and capabilities have started at last to become reasonable - all that for $55AUD on Ebay.

^ Yes I had a buddy with a Lumina and it slowly stopped functioning over time, I think it had alzheimers. Funny how Microsoft said they were going to be right up there with big players Apple & Samsung when they took over the Nokia brand but now kaput!

There is now such a wide range of smart phones available to purchase and one gets a lot of tech for little moolah

It's a shame Apple are now falling into that area of 'do as we please arrogance' Microsoft found itself decades ago, with the lawsuits claiming they deliberately slowed down older iPhones with operating system updates

It is my humble opinion, Apple are crap, both in products and attitude.
They admit slowing down old phones and their stuff isn't value for money when it's new.

The new iphone X has a specification far inferior to my C7, you can't use third party software without invalidating the guarantee and pay almost twice the price for the lump of crap.

                              My camera is better
I can use external microphones for improved audio (Including bluetooth) when recording video.
I don't have face ID, but Apple's doesn't work properly so they have no advantage anyway
I don't have facetime, but who the flip does? Whatsapp is king of the calling apps out here.
I can use any wired headphone I fancy, and I can plug into any sound system I like using standard cables available in any electronics shop - Apple can't
                              My battery lasts longer
I have 64gg on board memory but can expand by another 256 gig as I fancy by adding a micro SD
                              I have twice the RAM
                              I have a bigger screen

Frankly, I believe you have to be a fashion victim, a blithering idiot or mentally subnormal to buy an iphone.
