Great one. I tried to figure it out for a long time. At first I thought it was Portuguese. And then, when I said it out loud....

No. I can read some, but I do not understand spoken Thai nor can I speak Thai in a way that is understood by Thais.

I speak enough Thai and I can read a little bit, but mostly only talk to my wife in Thai. Too shy maybe.

Same here. Too shy to get enough practice. And, my wife is fluent in English, so no chance there.

About the only time I speak Thai is when I'm ordering food!

If it's all relative, I'm sure they've lived here/there their whole lives ... relatively.

Shouldnt try to be smart texpat, you just fuk it up and look dumb.

relative or not, you cannot say any expat has lived their whole life in Thailand, because by definition they then would not be an expat. An alien perhaps, an expat no.

What makes you think they're expats? Or are you just trolling?
