Strategy to make this the new TD

Wasn't Booby asking for his own queer forum on TC? He and Gayhole could recruit other's of their ilk from TD and increase membership.

They then pay the bills to keep the forum running so up to them to decide what TC wants to be when it grows up. If they want membership growth it's all about developing content related to and focusing on target member interests. No matter the focus it takes a huge amount of work to develop content. In the case of TD the content was developed by DD supported by a small trusted cadre of members including myself. Resulting in TD having a gold mine of content which unfortunately now is ignored by TD ownership.

TC is a Thailand focused forum and must build Thai related content of interest. Everything else is a waste of space and effort. Specifically non Thai political news and discussion. TC link to someone doing an internet search if not Thai related will never be seen so sure not going draw new members.

Thailand is a tourist destination so travel threads have a big draw. Related to travel, visa info is a complement. If I wanted to grow the forum would start developing threads related to travel to various locations in Thailand, develop threads related to visas and continue to develop local news. Particularily political news which we have a good start on thanks to Mid. Another area would be some threads on Thai history and customs.

As I did with DD, if TC owners desire, I would be happy to help out developing some content given appropriate admin access.

Do nothing and TC membership will remain small. Add some content and it will grow.

I think this would be a good logical step to widen the forum base. As long as a couple of nicks can refrain from flaming any nebis we show there faces.

The whole premise of 'making this the new TD' is wrong.

One of the advantages of this small-populated forum is it's not overrun with flamers and spam merchants.

the stalking threads, in spite of the great idiocy to found there, are a source of great amusement and a comforting refuge on slow news days.

such threads should of course be relegated to a "dog house" style dungeon so that forum newcomers are not scared off by the deranged insanity openly exhibited in the posts, but old hands to thai forums know the score and take them for what they are, a safe space where posters can access their "inner internet warrior"
