  • Earthquake in Chiang Mai

The house just shook quite noisily for about 10 seconds. Nothing fell down.
I visited TC a few times as a guest but had to stop. It is a sickening place. - Aging One

A 4.1 on the Richter, not high but the epicentre was only a few km away.

Did it happen about 9.30 last night?

I had just turned out the light when it felt like someone had jumped onto the bed. Turned on the light but saw nothing out of the ordinary.

It was just one sudden jolt. Didn't go on for seconds.

Yes, the epicenter was at Doi Saket hot springs, which is just up the road.

                    Yup. Exact same here.

Read today that it was 10km down, located in Doi Saket.

The first one I felt in CM around 10 yrs ago had a few jolts and water in the glass sloshing, which was kinda cool as a first Earthquake experience.
