It will take some doing and some time to get Thailand Chatter to resemble the old TD. Lots of great posters back then, until the dog died and the new regime ruined it. This place needs a few hundred active old style TD posters from there or somewhere that post 5 to 10 or more times a day so there are more topics to read and reply to. How to get them to come over? Who knows. I am sure if we all started inviting current TD members, it would result in being banned. Maybe word of mouth and some inviting? I can say that this place has the best Thailand and Southeast Asia news. Mid keeps it current and that other News guy does too. At least when he stays active. I notice he comes and goes, not sure why.

I've never understood why people post when they're working or with others. Are they that bored, or do they prefer the company of people in their computer they've never met?
I'll post when I'm commuting, or travelling between sites/cities/countries, or on the bog, or out mountain biking alone, or waiting for a tennis partner to arrive, or between sets in the gym, or having breakfast whilst the mrs is taking her usual hour+ in her bathroom, or at home alone because the mrs is overseas, but never when I'm supposed to be working & interacting.

Are you a night security guard or something? Personally the days would drag for me doing what you describe, and it's hardly a useful list of skills & experience to have under your belt when it's time to move on. I like to feel productive and professional, and work with productive professional interesting people. The hours fly by.
